Maxima Insurance IKE, responding to the challenges and technological changes, has secured modern integrated RES insurance programs for every type and applied technology of photovoltaic units, regardless of the size of the installed capacity. Taking into account the particularities of each photovoltaic unit, but also the differentiated requirements of the loan institutions, the necessary insurance cover is offered on a case-by-case basis to residential installations, units on parcels of land or business roofs, either conventional or self-production (net metering).
The types of benefits for a comprehensive coverage of your investment include:
- Insurance against all risks of assembly and installation, with extensions of General Civil and Employer's Liability.
- Insurance against all risks of Mechanical Damage, with extensions of coverage against property risks (such as fire, damage from natural phenomena, theft, etc.).
- Loss of revenue insurance, due to interruption of operation due to a covered risk (provided that the unit is connected to the DEDDIE network).

Yes, with ‘Business Interruption’ cover you are compensated for lost revenue from the sale of energy during damage restoration – this is critical to the viability of the investment.
Normal degradation (~0.5% per year) is not covered. The insurance value should be regularly adjusted based on actual value – avoid over-insurance that unnecessarily increases premiums.
For domestic PV roofs, an addition to the domestic is usually sufficient. For commercial/industrial parks a separate specialised contract is required due to different value and risk profiles.
